The UK has become the first country in the world to approve the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine.
This morning the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency said the jab is safe to be rolled out and Pfizer said that doses are already on their way to the UK, with 800,000 due in the coming days. Health Secretary Matt Hancock explained that the NHS will contact people about jabs and said on today’s Good Morning Britain that he would take the jab live on air with Piers Morgan.
YouGov’s snap poll today asked the public how confident they are that the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is safe, whether they support Matt Hancock being vaccinated live on TV and whether they would support the government making it compulsory for all people in Britain to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
5321 British adults were surveyed on 2nd December 2020.
