BREXIT WINDFALL: Britain has dodged a £106 BILLION Brussels bill since 2021

For five years, Remoaners have been claiming Brexit was a disaster. But here’s the truth: if we’d stayed shackled to Brussels, Britain would have forked out a staggering £106 billion in EU contributions since 2021.

Instead, we’ve kept that cash right here at home.

After the transition period ended on January 1, 2021, the UK stopped pouring billions into the EU’s budget, except for payments under the “divorce bill.”

But if we had remained, HM Treasury’s figures show we would have handed over £66 billion from 2021 to 2023, around 12.5% of the EU’s annual budget.

And it gets worse – our contribution was set to rise. In 2024, we’d have paid £21.5 billion, and in 2025, our share of Brussels’ bloated £165.5 billion budget would have soared to £22.3 billion.

That’s a total of £106 billion – gone. Instead, it’s staying in Britain, where it belongs.

Hidden Costs Brussels Won’t Tell You

And that’s just the start. The Treasury’s figures don’t even include the billions Britain would have had to stump up for the EU’s so-called “off-budget funds”, which include foreign aid splashed on Turkey and African nations.

Plus, let’s not forget the EU’s €800 billion Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) – a Covid-era borrowing spree that will take decades to pay off. Had we remained, Britain’s share of that bill would have been around £100 billion, with repayments stretching until 2058!

Thanks to Brexit, We Dodge US Tariffs Too

And here’s another Brexit bonus. With the US preparing punishing tariffs on the EU trading bloc, Britain may just escape a financial hammer blow – something we can credit Brexit for.

Trevor Ball nailed it in his recent letter to the Leicester Mercury: “When you consider the US tariffs that are due any day on the EU trading bloc – tariffs that we might escape thanks to Nigel Farage – the costs are just frightening. I’m not sure there are enough digits on my calculator to add them all up.”

Why the Silence?

So here’s the big question: why aren’t more politicians and journalists making this case? The numbers are there. The Treasury confirms them. The reality is undeniable: Brexit is saving Britain billions.

For years, Remainers in Westminster and the media have been fixated on trying to prove Brexit was a failure. But where are they now? Where are the headlines about this huge Brexit dividend? Where are the front-page splashes showing how Britain dodged a Brussels black hole?

It shouldn’t take a letter from a newspaper reader to reveal these facts. It’s time for Brexit Britain to take pride in our success – and for politicians to finally start shouting about it!
