BAE Systems launches recruitment drive for 100 engineers in Yorkshire for ‘once-in-a-generation opportunity’

BAE Systems is ramping up recruitment at its site in Brough, Yorkshire in response to increased demands to support vital defence programmes which will provide next-generation capability for the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy. 

With a long history of aircraft manufacturing, Brough is now BAE Systems’ centre for digital engineering excellence and supports the delivery of some of the world’s most advanced defence programmes, such as Tempest, the next-generation combat aircraft and the Dreadnought submarine fleet. 

Much of the work at Brough involves design, test and evaluation. It brings together new and novel digital engineering technologies such as synthetic modelling and model-based systems engineering. 

BAE Systems are recruiting around 100 engineers in design, mission systems, integration and software disciplines.

The site currently employs around 700 people in a wide-range of roles and offers an excellent range of apprenticeship, undergraduate and graduate opportunities. 

Recent investment in the site facilities has seen the creation of two new, contemporary and vibrant offices designed to support hybrid working and allow teams to connect and collaborate across the business. 

BAE Systems is promoting a large number of roles ranging from apprentices and graduates to experienced hires and senior leaders. The Company is keen to attract talent from all sectors as well as within the traditional defence industry.
