BAE Systems plans to recruit over 2,400 new apprentices, undergraduates, and graduates next year, bringing the total number of trainees to 6,500, or approximately 15% of its UK workforce.
This recruitment drive is backed by a staggering £230 million investment in education and skills in 2025 alone.

The apprenticeships and graduate roles are spread across the UK, with the majority based in the North of England, alongside opportunities in Scotland, Wales, and the South of England. The new recruits will work on cutting-edge programmes, including the Global Combat Air Programme and SSN-AUKUS submarines—the next generation of naval technology.
Francesca Di Mascio, a first-year Electrical Engineering Apprentice, shared her experience:

This year, 30% of new apprentice starters are female, double the UK engineering community’s average. Additionally, one in three graduate starters came from ethnic minority backgrounds, demonstrating the company’s commitment to building an inclusive workforce.
