British engineering excellence has once again taken centre stage as one of Europe’s largest plant and tool hire firms, BOELS Rental, has placed its biggest-ever order with JCB.

The staggering £65 million (€78 million) investment is a ringing endorsement of British manufacturing prowess and innovation.

The Netherlands-based rental giant has ordered over 700 brand-new JCB machines, including cutting-edge tracked and wheeled excavators, wheeled loading shovels, Loadall telescopic handlers, rotating telescopic handlers, electric scissor lifts, and electric site dumpers. Crucially, the deal brings a large number of JCB’s latest 145XR X Series tracked excavators into the BOELS fleet, further proving that British-built machinery leads the way in quality and performance.

Deliveries of the new fleet will be completed in the coming months, with the majority of the equipment heading to central Europe, particularly Germany, where BOELS is ramping up support for the contractor sector. This major contract not only cements BOELS’ reputation as a leader in European rentals but also underscores the global demand for superior British engineering.

JCB: Flying the Flag for British Industry

The landmark deal is also a major milestone for JCB, which has now supplied more than 3,000 machines to BOELS since their partnership began in 2012. JCB, a true British success story, continues to dominate the market with its world-class machinery and impeccable service support.

JCB Global Major Accounts MD, Claudio Fiorentini, expressed his pride in securing the deal, stating: “We are delighted to receive this significant order from one of Europe’s leading plant and tool hire companies. It is yet another testament to the superior quality of British manufacturing and JCB’s commitment to delivering world-class service and innovation.”

Guy Cremer, BOELS Group Chief Procurement Officer, emphasised why JCB remains the firm’s preferred choice: “BOELS Rental is one of Europe’s leading rental companies, and our growth is fuelled by investing in the best machines available. JCB’s range is tailored perfectly to the rental sector, making them our machine of choice. The exceptional service support we receive across Europe was also a key factor in our purchasing decision.”

Founded in 1977, BOELS Rental has grown into a dominant force in the rental sector, supplying industries such as construction, infrastructure, and events. This latest investment is not just a win for BOELS but a resounding victory for British industry, reaffirming the UK’s status as a powerhouse of world-leading engineering and manufacturing.

With the global construction sector booming, British-built JCB machines continue to set the standard, reinforcing the UK’s position as a leader in the field. As JCB secures yet another historic order, it’s clear that British manufacturing remains the gold standard for quality, reliability, and innovation.
