Norton Motorcycles has officially opened its new global headquarters in the UK, creating 100 jobs, with a production line capable of delivering around 8,000 motorcycles a year.
Having returned to their roots in the West Midlands, the new 73,000 sq ft site in Solihull, will also house Norton’s global design and research and development hub, customer showroom, service workshops and offices.
Robert Hentschel, chief executive of Norton Motorcycles, said:

“It is the perfect platform to re-energise our business as we lead the Norton brand to onward success where it will play a key role in the future of mobility.”
Councillor Ian Courts, leader of Solihull Council, added:
“It’s a huge mark of confidence in the region that Norton have chosen to establish their new global headquarters, complete with state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, here in Solihull.
“We have unmatched connectivity, access to a highly skilled and dynamic labour market and a firmly established reputation for world leading advanced manufacturing and engineering, so it seems like an obvious partnership.
“Norton is an iconic name in British motoring with a long and prestigious history of building high-quality, luxury motorcycles. We’re really excited to welcome them to Solihull as they embark on the next exciting chapter of their success story.”
