Last night Prime Minister Boris Johnson switched on the Downing Street Christmas lights.
The huge Christmas tree placed outside Downing Street was lit up in all its glory on Wednesday marking the first of December.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by a group of children singing carols for the special evening.
Mr Johnson asked the children: “Do you think this Christmas will be considerably better than last Christmas?”
To which they cheered: “Yes!”
The watching crowd was disappointed for a moment, as lights went out just as fast as they came on, although the Prime Minister quickly turned them back on.
Earlier this week, Mr Johnson said: “I will make a very confident prediction: This Christmas will be considerably better than the last.”
