In a dramatic intervention that could reshape Britain’s political landscape, the world’s richest man, entrepreneur Elon Musk, has thrown his support behind Ben Habib and his newly launched party, Advance UK.
Posting on his platform X (formerly Twitter), Musk declared: “Advance UK will actually drive change.”
With that single statement, Musk propelled Habib’s party from a new political debut into a movement of international relevance, amplifying its reach through his unparalleled global influence.
Advance UK, launched just over a month ago, is the natural evolution of Ben Habib’s long-running fight for sovereignty and accountability. Once co–deputy leader of Reform UK, Habib broke away last year after clashing with Nigel Farage over immigration, party governance, and strategy.
“Where others settled for rhetoric, Habib demanded real action,” said one of his former colleagues.
Today, Habib’s leadership of Advance UK represents more than just a split. It marks the arrival of a party “built on conviction rather than compromise, a movement determined to act where others merely posture.”
As the same former colleague put it: “Ben Habib stands head and shoulders above most in politics, not just for his intellect, but for his honesty and decency, which are rare commodities in Westminster. He is as straight as they come, and that makes him exceptional. His star is rising fast, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Nigel is already panicking.”
Beyond Advance UK, Habib also chairs the Great British PAC, a cross-party political action group established earlier this year with a mission to “stop Labour in its tracks,” “drive change through the courts,” and rally the patriotic right ahead of the 2029 general election. The PAC has already attracted national attention, most notably by spearheading a high-profile judicial review of Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s contentious Chagos Islands deal.
Musk himself is no stranger to the effort. The billionaire, who is a quarter British, has longstanding ties with the PAC’s leadership and is said to have encouraged its initiatives from the outset.
The Musk Megaphone
What began as a modest launch has now become a watershed moment. Advance UK’s rallying cry: restore sovereignty, uphold law and order, defend freedom of speech, resonates with disillusioned voters who feel betrayed by establishment politics.
With Musk’s intervention, those principles are no longer confined to Britain’s borders. They are projected onto the world stage, giving Habib’s message a force multiplier that any political party would enjoy.
Political analysts suggest that Musk’s endorsement could unleash a wave of defections from Reform UK, accelerating the decline of Farage’s outfit and consolidating Habib as the credible champion of Britain’s populist movement. Habib’s relationships within the Conservative Party, including with figures such as Robert Jenrick, tipped by many as a future Tory leader, only widen the possibilities of influence, alliances, and a possible coalition of the ‘patriotic right’ before the next general election.
“If Nigel isn’t careful, he’ll soon find himself left out in the cold. I genuinely believe he’s already peaked. Yes, he’s good with soundbites, but when it comes to delivery there’s no real substance, and the public will see through that. He’s also notorious for not working well with others. Watching how this unfolds is going to be fascinating,” said a former Conservative MP.
A Defining Moment
Some will no doubt decry Musk’s remarks as foreign interference; others will acknowledge them as a signal of seismic change in British politics. What is clear is that Habib’s Advance UK is no longer a sideshow.
As one Westminster insider put it: “Advance UK is now a serious force with momentum on its side. If Elon Musk is in your corner, you don’t stay on the sidelines for long.”
