Dear Friend,
Today will be a defining moment for our Party. It is the last chance to vote in the leadership election, with polls closing at 5pm.
It is our chance to vote for a leader who has the courage and conviction to rescue our Party from the drama and the defeats of recent times.
Robert Jenrick has uniquely set out how he will address the concerns of the British people. With clear unambiguous policies he will restore the trust and credibility we sadly lost on too many issues.
Just as we broke free of the EU with Brexit so we must break free of other European rules and laws to deliver secure borders. The British people instructed us to tackle illegal immigration in the EU referendum and multiple General Elections. In all candour we simply didn’t deliver this. Only by voting for Robert can we address this. Frankly if we don’t we will not recover trust or support.
Our Party faces a crossroads. Our very future is at stake with the threat of Reform. We have to have a Conservative Party and leader who will bring back the supporters we have lost to Reform. If our core support continues to crumble our party faces an existential threat.
I believe that Robert is the candidate who has proven worthy of our support.
Indeed, independent polling shows of the two candidates he is the one who would win back most seats, immediately. That’s a fact.
So with a few hours to go until polls close, I have a simple request.
