Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire, Mr Ian Dudson CBE KStJ has visited the Stoke-on-Trent based English fine bone china factory of the Caverswall English China Company to commemorate their 50th Anniversary.
Accompanied by Mr. Sean Whinray, the Lord-Lieutenant embarked on a factory tour of the British heritage manufacturer to meet the artisans and craftsmen and women and to view the various stages of the masterful hand craftsmanship, traditional methods and techniques behind the company’s English fine bone china products.
Located in Stoke-on-Trent, the heart of the English pottery industry, The Caverswall English China Company has produced premium quality, handcrafted English fine bone china since its inception in 1973.
With half a century at the forefront of the English fine bone china market, all Caverswall pieces are produced using unchanging, consummately mastered techniques that span back hundreds of years.
Nurturing the skills of bygone generations, their talented craftsmen, potters and artisans continue to hand-make and decorate fine bone china to the level of skill and quality for which they are renowned.

The Lord-Lieutenant and Mr. Sean Whinray were hosted by Dr Peter Harper (Owner), Mrs Pamela Harper (Chairman & CEO), Mr. Paul Farmer (Group Operations Director).
Miss Zenouska Mowatt (Head of Marketing). Dr & Mrs Harper spoke of the business’ history and their commitment and profound dedication to enhancing the growth of the team and investing in future projects, which will have a significant impact in nurturing the craft resulting in positive change in the community.
Caverswall holds a Royal Warrant as English fine bone china manufacturer and is sister company to fellow Royal Warrant holder, Halcyon Days.
