MADE IN ENGLAND: Morgan Super 3 touches down stateside

Famous the world over for its unique blend of craft, heritage and pure driving experience, the Morgan Motor Company has been manufacturing quintessentially British vehicles in Malvern, UK, for more than 110 years.

The highly anticipated arrival of Super 3 signifies a triumphant return for Morgan to the United States, bringing with it the individual and unconventional spirit for which Morgan is renowned.

Super 3, launched last year at Morgan’s factory home in Malvern, has received an incredible reception in Europe from media and customers alike.

Lauded for its unique driving experience, design, and endless configurability, the appeal of Super 3 has already been recognised by Morgan fans across the United States, long before the first vehicles landed in the country.

In the United States, Super 3 features several subtle differences over its European counterpart in order to meet federal homologation requirements. Most notably, the headlights can be mounted within the width of the body, a requirement that was considered from Super 3’s design inception with the United States in mind.

With the first vehicles already arriving at dealerships throughout the country, customers can now view, test drive and order Super 3. The company’s dedicated US website provides further information on dealerships and model specification.

Super 3 is the first production Morgan to be exported to the United States since the Morgan 3 Wheeler ceased production in 2020.

“It’s a proud moment to see Morgan back in the United States, and we couldn’t have wished for a more exciting, individual, and distinctive model to mark our return with.

“Super 3 has already received significant interest from Morgan owners and fans in the country, and we can’t wait to see the incredible adventures that our customers will embark upon.

“I know the team here in Malvern – all of whom have worked incredibly hard to get to this point – will join me in their excitement as we enter the next chapter of Morgan’s story in the United States.”

Passed down through generations, the same craftsmanship skills that were integral during the founding of the Morgan Motor Company in 1909 are as alive today as they have ever been.

The company was established in 1909 by H.F.S Morgan with the design of the now iconic Morgan Three Wheeler. This was followed, in 1936, by the Morgan 4-4, based on the Morgan steel chassis. This chassis was produced until 2020, making it the longest running production car architecture in the world.

The authenticity of Morgan, one of Britain’s longest established motor manufacturers, has remained unchanged for more than 110 years: from design and engineering, to craft and manufacturing, through to sales and tailoring, every Morgan is designed and built to be as individual as its owner.

Now in their fourth generation, the Morgan family continue to act as stewards for the brand, upholding the values of the company and ensuring their family legacy lives on with each new Morgan produced.

The Morgan family retain a shareholding of the company, alongside majority shareholders Investindustrial, who announced in 2019 that they would be investing heavily in the Morgan Motor Company and its long-term future building cars in Britain.

If you are yet to make a physical visit to the Morgan Motor Company, tours are available throughout the week. Run from the all-new Morgan Experience Centre, they can be booked online here.
