Britain’s snowboarding sensation Mia Brookes has struck gold again, claiming World Cup victory in the Big Air event in Klagenfurt, Austria.
The 17-year-old dazzled the judges with a near-flawless performance, scoring an incredible 184.25 points to top the podium.
Her jaw-dropping cab 1440 melon earned a massive 95.75 points, the highest-scored run across the two-day competition. Japan’s Mari Fukada took silver with 182.25, while compatriot Momo Suzuki settled for bronze with 166.75.
Brookes’ triumph comes just weeks after she stunned the snowboarding world by claiming her first-ever Big Air gold in Beijing.
Speaking after her victory, the teenage star said: “I’m so hyped to win this competition! It doesn’t even feel real to know I’ve just gone back-to-back. It’s crazy!”
A Golden Week for British Winter Sports
Brookes isn’t the only Brit making headlines at the Winter World Cup. Brad Hall and his four-man bobsleigh team stormed to their first World Cup gold in two years, delivering a blistering run that left rivals in the dust.
Meanwhile, in the skeleton, Matt Weston clinched another gold medal, overtaking teammate Marcus Wyatt at the top of the World Cup standings, ensuring Britain’s dominance on the ice.
