Please help us take a stand and defend Britain’s sovereignty by signing our petition to reverse the Labour Government’s disastrous decision to hand over the Chagos Islands, including the crucial military base at Diego Garcia, to Mauritius.

Britain must stand firm, safeguard our strategic interests, and ensure that we do not stumble into a decision that future generations will regret.

Labour is not only betraying the Chagossian people, who were excluded from these negotiations, but this Labour government is also threatening Britain’s national security and strategic interests. Please collectively help us make our voices heard.

The Chagos Islands are a vital defence hub, safeguarding global trade routes and ensuring the security of the West. Ceding control to Mauritius, a country closely aligned with China, puts Britain’s interests—and those of our allies—at serious risk. This decision was made without consulting Parliament or the British public.

Let us be absolutely clear: Mauritius has never owned or controlled these islands. To hand them over now, without consulting the British people or allowing proper debate in Parliament, is nothing short of undemocratic. Even more disgraceful is the exclusion of the Chagossian people from these negotiations—those most affected by this tragic saga. Mauritius is not acting in their best interests, and to suggest otherwise is a gross distortion of historical truth.

The so-called Mauritian sovereignty claim is an attempt to rewrite history, one that the Chagossians and their descendants strongly oppose. Yet, the UK Government has pressed ahead without Parliament’s democratic oversight or any meaningful consultation with the British public. This isn’t just a casual transaction—it’s the transfer of 58 islands and 640,000 square kilometres of ocean, home to one of the largest marine protection zones in the world, all done with no meaningful scrutiny. This represents a major constitutional change that cannot go unchallenged.

Furthermore, Diego Garcia is not just a speck on the map; it is a crucial hub for UK defence, a sentinel safeguarding global trade routes and protecting key strategic choke points. Let us not mince words: Mauritius is closely aligned with China. To cede these islands is to risk allowing Chinese military access to one of the most strategically important locations in the world, jeopardising the interests of Britain and our allies. This decision sets a dangerous precedent for other British Overseas Territories, including the Falklands, Gibraltar, and the Sovereign Base Areas in Cyprus, all of which could come under threat from irredentist claims.

We need your help! Sign the petition to show the Labour Government that the British people will not allow this constitutional change to go unchallenged.

I, the undersigned, demand that the Labour Government immediately reverse its outrageous decision to surrender the sovereignty of the Chagos Islands, including the invaluable Diego Garcia, to Mauritius.

This deeply misguided move not only betrays the displaced Chagossians, but also imperils Britain’s national security and undermines the strategic interests of the West.

I demand the British Labour government reverse their outrageous decision. The Chagos Islands must remain British. SIGNED:
