The Prince of Wales has visited the Senedd in Cardiff this week and met representatives of the Welsh Parliament.

During his visit to the Senedd on Wednesday, The Prince of Wales met representatives of the Welsh Parliament in order to deepen his understanding of the issues and opportunities of greatest importance to the Welsh people.

His Royal Highness received the title of The Prince of Wales in September 2022, following the death of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth and the Accession of King Charles III, who had previously held the title for over 64 years.

Following a brief tour of the building and the debating chamber led by the Llywydd (Presiding Officer), Rt. Hon. Elin Jones MS, The Prince met representatives from the political parties represented in the Senedd, providing an opportunity for discussion about the topics that matter most to Wales.

The Welsh Parliament is the democratically elected body that represents the interests of Wales and its people, which is commonly known as the Senedd.

The building was officially opened in 2006 by Her Majesty The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, The then Prince of Wales and The then Duchess of Cornwall.

His Royal Highness concluded his visit by meeting with the Welsh Youth Parliament, offering an opportunity to get to the heart of issues of greatest importance to the younger generation.
