Ukrainians will be able to access pro bono training in key skills from top tech companies through the UK-Ukraine TechBridge.

  • Resources to support Ukrainian citizens’ learning and career development in tech is offered pro bono by industry partners.
  • Includes offer of formal certifications from Oracle for up to 8,000 Ukrainian participants.
  • Open to Ukrainian citizens both in Ukraine and those displaced, with particular focus on supporting women and veterans to develop new skills.

The TechBridge Skills and Development Programme helps Ukrainian citizens access training and opportunities to continue professional development despite disruption caused by Russia’s illegal invasion.

Training offered by Oracle, Cisco, Salesforce, and Amazon Web Services can be accessed through the UK-Ukraine TechBridge website.

In addition to its training package, Oracle will offer formal certifications for up to 8000 participants in an in-kind donation worth £2 million. This is an opportunity for Ukrainians to gain globally recognised professional qualifications as well as job placement assistance.

Ukrainian citizens, including those displaced by conflict, will be able to enrol in programmes that support both entry-level and experienced individuals. This will particularly support women entering the tech sector for the first time, as well as veterans returning from active conflict.

The tech sector in Ukraine has shown remarkable resilience despite the challenges of Russia’s full-scale invasion, continuing to grow year on year.

Leo Docherty, Minister for Europe, said:

The training programmes offered through TechBridge will directly support Ukrainians’ continued professional growth. This training will strengthen a key sector and provide Ukrainians with more economic resilience, a strong foundation for continued recovery.

The UK continues to stand with Ukraine and, through programmes such as the UK-Ukraine TechBridge and UK-Ukraine Infrastructure Taskforce which I co-chair alongside Deputy Prime Minister Kubrakov, is doing all we can to support their economy.

The remarkable resilience of Ukraine’s tech sector sees their companies continue to grow despite Russia’s illegal invasion. The UK’s training offer will help tackle digital skills shortages and enable a more agile workforce in Ukraine as it rebuilds.

Siobhan Wilson, UK Country Leader, Oracle said:

The opportunities in the technology sector are vast and varied. Providing the Ukrainian people with the right skills and qualifications to stand out is crucial in helping them lay the foundations for a successful and brighter future.

Oracle is committed to working with the UK and Ukrainian governments to deliver schemes that meet the specific needs of the Ukrainian people.

The UK-Ukraine TechBridge is a strategic partnership between the UK Government and Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation, which formally launched in January 2024. It aims to connect UK and Ukrainian tech businesses, to build resilience and continue the development of a thriving Ukrainian tech sector.

TechBridge is being implemented in partnership with industry and academia from both the UK and Ukraine to create new opportunities in trade, investment, skills, and innovation.
