The Conservative Democratic Organisation (CDO) was launched as a campaign through the Conservative Post in December together with founders Lord Peter Cruddas, David Campbell Bannerman and Claire Bullivant.
But even though we already have some political heavyweights such as Priti Patel, Lord Stephen Greenhalgh, Nadine Dorries, Lord Moylan, Michelle Ballatyne, Jacob Rees-Mogg and his sister Annunziata Rees-Mogg in our ranks, the CDO is not about personality. It is far larger than one person or one policy.
WE ARE LOOKING TO FORCE RADICAL DEMOCRATIC LONG-TERM REFORM OF THE PARTY TO SECURE OUR FUTURE.
We also want to reverse the moves which over time have centralised control of the voluntary party into the hands of a few unelected shadowy individuals in Matthew Parker Street.
Our party may be the longest running political entity in the world, but longevity means nothing when your crew are jumping ship and you’re in the midst of a tumultuous storm. It’s time to send out the lifeboats and bring the members and grassroots back. We as a party need them more than ever and we believe CDO can help achieve this.
Now it’s time to come together at our first Conference to be held at a superb location in Bournemouth on Saturday 13th May where you’ll join like-minded patriots who, like you, want to save our party and our country.
You are invited to the Take Control daytime conference with a stellar line-up of speakers and celebrity panellists. Then in the evening, we invite you to lose control on the dance floor after a superb 3-course meal, wine, and live music from Britain’s Got Talent stars, The Soldiers of Swing.
