Tens of thousands of patriots are in central London today singing “Rule Britannia” and flying the Union Flag.
Central London streets are a sea of Union Jack colours “as far as the eye can see,” with marchers singing patriotic songs at a rally organised by Enemy of the State author and freedom of speech activist Tommy Robinson.
Mr Robinson said the event is one of “the biggest patriotic rallies the UK has ever seen” with Reclaim Leader Laurence Fox adding there are at least 50,000 patriots currently gathered in Trafalgar Square. “Nelson would be proud,” Fox said.
The patriotic event saw speeches, music from an array of patriotic bands and a documentary about Mr Robinson’s work on “freedom of speech and standing up for Britain.”
Mr Robinson said: “Our voices have been silenced for too long, but now we rise together to start taking back our home, our country, and our land. We are making our stand and letting our voices be heard. This is not just an event; this is a movement.”
For 15 years, since he first emerged on a public stage, Tommy Robinson says he’s just “an ordinary lad from Luton trying to open his countrymen and women’s eyes to the horrors being inflicted upon British society and the threats to our very way of life.”
Mr Robinson says his words have been “twisted, usually totally ignored, and at worst completely fabricated by the mainstream media.” He says he is “simply trying to explore serious social issues in today’s Britain” yet “constantly finds the might of the establishment loaded against him facing arrests, law suits, state harrassment, threats and lies on a daily basis.”
“From rape gangs and state persecution, to the madness of covid and BLM” he says he wants to expose the British establishment and media’s silence.
Today’s event kicked off at the stage in Trafalgar Square, where gospel singers welcomed the crowd of patriots after marching from the Royal Court of Justice.
After the gospel singers, a veteran took to the stage and paid tribute to Lee Rigby, a British Army soldier, of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, who was attacked and killed by Islamist terrorists Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich in 2013.
Tommy Robinson then introduced a singer on stage who says she was “cancelled” by music industry bosses after stating that being a woman is “being an adult, human female”.
Louise Distras, a Wakefield musician once championed by prominent Left-wing singer Billy Bragg, took to the stage to perform her hit ‘Street Revolution.’
Distras, known for her outspoken views, recently revealed she was arrested and interviewed under caution following comments she made about the transgender issue on GB News.
On social media Mr Robinson posted a video saying: “Enough is enough. The line in the sand has been drawn. We’re being replaced no longer.”
Stand Up To Racism and a Trans Pride event also taking place in the capital today. To manage the multiple events and ensure public safety, around 1,000 police officers have been deployed across London.
Chief Superintendent Colin Wingrove, who is in charge of protest policing, said:
“Our first priority is to keep the peace to ensure that those exercising their right to lawful protest can do so safely.
“We have proactively used our powers under the Public Order Act to manage the timings and routes of marches and assemblies, ensuring that the groups are kept apart.
“Officers will intervene decisively to deal with any breaches of those conditions, prevent crime, and to respond to any other incidents.
“Everyone has a right to feel safe and be safe in London.”
Where is your outrage of the suppression of free speech which occurred when the true patriot Tommy Robinson was arrested on charges related to terrorism?
Why have you not created a defense fund to pay for the best legal representation of this heroic champion of liberty?
I just learned of all of this on Jordan Peterson’s podcast this evening. I’ve never been more angry listening to a podcast. I’ll be praying for Mr. Robinson, yall’s movement, and the UK in general. We must act to protect The West and conserve our culture and heritage.
Speaking the truth, protecting and loving your country, standing up for what is right, is NOT being far right. The crowds yesterday were a broad mix of young and old, armed forces veterans, ex police officers, all patriots, not fascists, not commie agitators, just ordinary people standing up for their country.
