Ofcom has finally pulled the plug on its investigation into Dan Wootton’s GB News show after the presenter claimed he was the target of a smear campaign.
Last year, Mr. Wootton was suspended from GB News – Britain’s self-declared free speech news broadcaster – for not being offended enough at a bad joke by Laurence Fox.
During a live interview on Dan’s GB News show on 26 September last year, Laurence Fox had asked, “who would want to shag that?” when talking about female journalist Ava Evans after he was upset she had been in the media “belittling male suicide.”
Many viewers and supporters of Wootton and Fox jumped to their defence and accused the mainstream media, led by the BBC, ITV News and Sky News, of whipping up a non-story into total hysteria, designed to destroy the top-rated show on the broadcaster.
Conservative Post readers were so enraged a petition was set up to get GB news bosses to reinstate Dan, which 5000 of you signed in less than a week.
However, after a prolonged suspension, Dan quit the channel in March to start his own platform, Outspoken, on which he addressed the allegations.
Messaging his supporters on Twitter / X this morning Dan said:
“After a deranged year-long campaign of destruction, the UK government censors the Ofcommunists have closed their final case into me. This witch hunt was always designed to destroy my mainstream media career and GB News. It succeeded on both counts.
“GB News is a shell of its former self. Just this weekend it sacked ANOTHER presenter Albiea Mankona for saying something management disagreed with. Free speech my ****! As for me, I have never been happier. My daily Outspoken show is growing a massive audience after just three weeks on air. It is NOT patrolled by the Ofcommunists (yet). And my columns do not have Daily Mail editors demanding I be nice about Meghan Markle or that I call Sam Smith “they” not he!
“The MSM is dying and it’s time for an independent revolution in the UK, like has happened in the US with Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, Dan Bongino, Dave Rubin and so many more. Thank you for your incredible support – I promise, no matter what, to keep fighting for you.”
In a statement, Ofcom said:
“We discontinued a fairness and privacy complaint about this programme. Given the nature of these cases, we will not be commenting further.”

When new leader has been elected can one of his priorities be hold The Former Prime Minister Richie Sunak personally responsible for the Conservative Party losing the election & have him expelled from the Party.
Also hold an investigation into who took the photos & who released them to the mainstream media of ” Party Gate” and the part of in this debacle by Sunak & Cummings.
Finally that the new Cabinet work as a Team and remember that if they can’t work as a proper Committee with Majority Decisions final then don’t accept the position.
