It’s almost as if a return to a democratically elected leader was akin to the fall of Rome!
Now, let’s just pause for a moment and consider what’s going on here. These are women living in the freest, most prosperous societies on the planet, indulging in the luxury of online protests by shaving their locks. Talk about a first-world problem!

Oh yes, a US stock market hitting record highs, bolstered by renewed investor confidence. The migrant caravan that was making its way to the southern border? Dissolved. Hamas, for the first time, signals a desire to end their ongoing conflict. And what’s this? Vladimir Putin is signalling readiness to resolve the Ukraine conflict.
But wait, there’s more: Qatar, that cosy little hub for certain unsavoury elements, has decided to kick out Hamas leaders. The EU has committed to buying American gas, not Russian, and even Putin himself has agreed to sell oil in good old US dollars. Zelensky has picked up the phone to speak with Trump and the ever-resourceful Elon Musk. And if that weren’t enough, China is suddenly talking about peaceful cooperation, while American companies are ready to decamp from the People’s Republic and return their manufacturing stateside. Plus there are talks of a spectacular trade deal already cooking with the UK. Yes, Trump might not like our socialist Labour government but he loves our country.
So, I must ask: why on earth are these Western women reaching for the clippers? Instead of this melodramatic spectacle, why not pause, take a breath, and – dare I suggest it – give the man a chance? For heaven’s sake, the ballots have barely been counted, and already we’re witnessing tangible, positive shifts. Long may it continue, for the world desperately needs a leader like Trump right now, even if these shearing, screeching protesters fail to grasp it. Is this really the moment to shave one’s head in protest, when there are far more pressing battles to be fought?
Let’s put things into perspective, shall we? In a world where many women are fighting tooth and nail for the most basic freedoms, is this really the best use of energy? A wise lady once said, “Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren’t.” Well, if you have to shave your head to show your outrage, perhaps you’ve already lost the plot.
