Two years on from the horrors of October 7th, the truth is as clear as it is uncomfortable: the power to end the agony in Gaza lies in one place, and one place only… with Hamas.
Let’s not mince words. The Islamist death cult that stormed across Israel in 2023, slaughtering civilians, burning families alive, and kidnapping the innocent, has now been offered a deal so generous it would make even the most hardened cynic rub his eyes in disbelief.
Hamas is being offered amnesty… yes, amnesty for unspeakable crimes. They are being offered freedom of choice: retire peacefully in Gaza or relocate elsewhere under protection. They are being offered a Palestinian-run Gaza, underpinned by massive Western investment — the kind of prosperity that could finally lift millions out of misery.
And they are being offered something even more extraordinary: a Western commitment to an eventual Palestinian state.
All they have to do is what any sane leadership would do in five minutes:
- Release the 20 Israeli hostages and the bodies of the dead.
- Renounce terrorism.
- Abandon their repulsive, medieval charter of anti-Semitic violence.
That’s it. That’s the deal.
So if Gaza remains a place of rubble and ruin, if the suffering continues, if the people of Gaza remain trapped, the world must finally say it out loud: the blame lies not with Israel, not with the West, but with Hamas.
Because this is the moment of moral clarity. Hamas can end the war today. They could pick up the phone, sign the document, release the captives, and unleash a future of peace and prosperity. But will they? History suggests otherwise — because Hamas was never built to govern, only to destroy.
And if, in the coming days, Hamas chooses rejection over reconciliation — if they spit on peace yet again — then every “Free Palestine” protester, every campus agitator, every Western politician still pretending moral equivalence, should pause. Because the mask will have slipped.
If Hamas turns down this deal, then any continued protest “for Gaza” becomes absurd… a farce, a self-parody. You can’t demand peace while defending those who refuse it. You can’t cry “justice for Gaza” while the only people standing in Gaza’s way are Hamas themselves.
This is the moment of truth. Hamas can end the nightmare or prolong it. They can free their people or betray them once again.
The world is watching. The offer is on the table.
