Hundreds of serving military personnel took part in London Poppy Day as sailors, soldiers and aviators sold poppies and raised money for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
London’s railway stations were transformed into a sea of poppies as Armed Forces personnel joined forces with military bands to launch the Royal British Legion’s annual Poppy Appeal.
The tri-service effort, spearheaded by members of the Royal Air Force from RAF Northolt, saw uniformed personnel collecting donations from commuters across the capital, proudly rallying for the Armed Forces community.

The annual Poppy Appeal, immortalising the memory of those who died in service to their country, is one of the Royal British Legion’s most important fundraising campaigns. The funds raised go directly to supporting veterans, serving personnel, and their families, with millions expected to be collected over the coming days.

This year’s Poppy Day Appeal has seen a remarkable show of solidarity from service members, reminding the public of the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces – and encouraging all to wear their poppies with pride.
Be their lifeline.
This Remembrance, could you save someone like Former Captain Laurence ‘Loz’ Moore?
While serving on tour in Afghanistan, Loz’s vehicle was hit by improvised explosive devices, injuring him and his platoon. He left the Army diagnosed with PTSD due to his experience and felt like he’d lost everything. His income, his sense of purpose, and even his family.
That’s when the Royal British Legion knocked at his door.
Loz attended a course at the Battle Back Centre where we’re dedicated to making sure that everyone who has undergone life-changing experiences in military service receives the support and help they need. Thanks to our expert coaches, he regained his confidence, his mental health and his family.
But Loz isn’t the only one. There are still so many people out there who need help.
Your donation could save someone like Loz.

During the Poppy Appeal and all year round, the Royal British Legion provides support for members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans and their families. By making a donation, you could help those in need within our Armed Forces community.
