The Lionesses pulled off yet another thunderous win act last night – with teenager Michelle Agyemang and comeback queen Chloe Kelly taking England into their THIRD consecutive European final.
At one stage it looked dead and buried. England were 118 seconds from heartbreak. Italy had looked hungrier. But they hadn’t reckoned on the pure power of English spirit.
From the ashes rose 19-year-old Agyemang – once a standout with the Under-19s, now a star on Europe’s biggest stage. With the clock cruelly ticking, she pounced on a loose ball, touched it into her path and coolly fired it into the bottom corner.
Cue BEDLAM in Lyon. Cue another chapter in the never-ending fairytale of the Lionesses. But they weren’t done yet.
Moments later, Beth Mead was bundled over and the ref pointed straight to the spot. Chloe Kelly, so often the hero, saw her penalty saved – but slammed in the rebound like a woman possessed.
From the brink to the big time – AGAIN.
As Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” boomed around the stadium, England’s miracle makers danced and embraced. They’ve led for just five minutes across three knockout games – and they’re still in it to win it!

Chloe Kelly’s journey to this final is a tearjerker in itself. Frozen out by Manchester City. Told she needed game time or lose her England spot. She took the fight to deadline day, forced a move to Arsenal, and even went public about her mental health struggles.
She thought of giving up football. Thank God she didn’t. Now she’s a Lioness legend – again.
SUPER SUB AGYEMANG: THE FUTURE IS NOW
No Alessia Russo? No problem. Up steps Michelle Agyemang, called up in April, scoring within 41 seconds of her debut. And now? One goal every 35 minutes for her country. She’s on fire.
