Reform MP Rupert Lowe has called on the Home Office to conduct an urgent independent review into the impact of crimes committed against women and girls in the UK by illegal migrants.

Describing the issue as an “epidemic,” Mr Lowe accused authorities of covering up vital information and demanded full transparency to address what he believes is a growing crisis.

“An Epidemic Nobody Wants to Talk About”

Speaking out forcefully, Mr Lowe said: “It’s an epidemic, and nobody wants to talk about it. I am certain that vital information is being covered up. We need to get to the ugly truth.”

The Reform MP painted a harrowing picture of the challenges women and girls face in towns and cities across the country, where safety concerns have become a daily reality.

“We’ve got this hideous situation where women and girls feel unable to go out alone in certain towns and cities across the UK. How on earth is that acceptable? It’s not, and we must not tolerate it as normal.”

Concerns Over Migrant Accommodation

Mr Lowe directed particular criticism at the government’s handling of illegal migrants housed in hotels and other temporary accommodation, raising questions about their behaviour and the potential risks posed to local communities.

“Unchecked foreign young males, often from cultures that have no respect for women, are free to roam as they please around these hotels and elsewhere in the UK. Is it any surprise that women and girls feel uncomfortable? Or even worse has happened?” he asked.

The MP voiced personal concerns, saying: “I wouldn’t want my daughters being out after dark near one of these establishments. Nobody reading this would either, if they’re being true to themselves.”

Calls for Crime Data Transparency

Mr Lowe also criticised the apparent lack of transparency from authorities regarding crime statistics involving illegal migrants. He has been campaigning for this data to be made public, insisting the British public has a right to know the facts.

“I have pushed and pushed for crime data on illegal migrants to be released. The British people deserve to know this information,” he said. “Of course, ALL crime by illegal migrants must be properly investigated. But for women and girls in these communities, and elsewhere across the country, it is particularly terrifying.”

He added: “If there is nothing to worry about, then they should release the data. We need a full and independent review to discover what’s really going on, and the full extent of it.”

Growing Pressure on the Home Office

Mr Lowe’s comments come amid mounting pressure on the government to address concerns about the potential risks posed by illegal migrants. Local councils and community groups have also raised issues about the lack of safeguards in place to protect vulnerable populations, particularly women and girls, from potential harm.

The Home Office has yet to respond to Mr Lowe’s request for an independent review. However, his intervention is likely to intensify public scrutiny of government policies regarding illegal migrants and their impact on community safety.

A Community in Fear

For many women and girls in affected areas, the fear is real. Stories of harassment and intimidation have surfaced across the country, with some residents expressing unease about the sudden influx of young men into their communities.

“Women and girls shouldn’t have to live in fear,” Mr Lowe said. “This is Britain in 2024. We must demand better from our government and ensure the safety of every individual in our society.”

The call for a full and independent review will likely reignite debates over immigration, public safety, and the transparency of crime data. As the issue continues to dominate headlines, many will be watching closely to see whether the Home Office takes action on Mr Lowe’s demands.
