Britain’s industrial strength is on full display once again, as JCB launches a major new expansion across Australia, underpinned by fresh investment, a new national dealer and a clear focus on customer service.

At a signing ceremony in Melbourne, JCB Deputy Chairman George Bamford confirmed that Adaptalift Group will represent the British manufacturer across Australia’s key cities, including Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

The move marks a significant step forward for the Staffordshire headquartered firm, reinforcing the global reputation of British engineering excellence while strengthening JCB’s footprint in one of the world’s most important construction markets.

Alongside the new dealer partnership, JCB is investing heavily in service support and spare parts supply, including new warehouses and a logistics partnership with DHL Supply Chain. The aim is simple, to keep machines working, minimise downtime and ensure customers across Australia benefit from faster, more reliable support.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Bamford said the expansion represents the delivery of a clear strategic vision.

“This is a big moment for JCB in Australia. We set out a clear plan at the end of last year, new headquarters, new dealers and better customer support. Today, we’re delivering on that. Adaptalift has the service focus, the reach and the people we need. Together, we’re building a stronger service driven future for JCB customers right across Australia.”

JCB Chief Executive Graeme Macdonald said Australian customers can expect a marked improvement in service.

“Adaptalift’s service driven culture aligns perfectly with JCB’s values. Customers in Australia are going to see a step change in service and product support.”

For Adaptalift, the agreement represents a major milestone. Chief Executive Lindsay Whiffen described the partnership as a powerful combination of British manufacturing strength and Australian operational expertise.

“JCB is a world class brand and we’re proud to represent it across key metro and regional markets. From day one, our focus is simple, selling a great product range, providing fast service and world class parts availability and keeping machines working safely and reliably.”

JCB’s Managing Director of Sales, Tim Burnhope, added that the scale of investment sends a clear message.

“With a new dealer in place, stronger logistics and major investment, JCB is making it clear it means business in Australia.”

Founded in Britain and still family led, JCB has long been a symbol of UK manufacturing prowess. This latest move underscores the company’s confidence, ambition and ability to compete, and win, on the global stage.

Adaptalift Group is an Australian family owned equipment solutions provider with a national footprint. The company delivers equipment sales, rental and full lifecycle support through an extensive branch network and field service capability, with a focus on safety, uptime and productivity.
